Oh the plot thickens lol I sent the wp to a friend that has a black iphone5s and her lettering is white. I will keep looking for an explanation

Black. With most of my light and/or white wallpapers...I notice the change. ios7 does this on its own...picks the predominate color in wallpaper to decide font color.
