Selling new subsidized iPhone 5
I plan to sell my pre-ordered iPhone 5 (just got an unlocked, jailbroken 4S!)
Can I just pop out the SIM, toss it in a drawer, and sell the phone (not even turning it on)
Or do I have to activate it first?
I haven't been able to find a straight answer on this.
In the past I'd activate the new phone then move the new SIM to my old phone, but I don't have a nano SIM adapter.
I'd rather not have to visit the AT&T store tomorrow! - 09-21-2012, 04:40 AM #2

You don't have to activate it...when the 3GS first came out i sold the first one i purchased and kept my 3G for a couple of months until the hype died down. I just took the SIM card out and shipped it on it's way (and made a handsome profit). It actually went to a friend of mine, and as far as i was aware, he had no problems activating it and using it.
