Okay, this is not specific to the iPhone 5, but anyway...

I know my iPhone backs up/syncs when I plug into my PC. My question is, where do the photos and videos that I have taken go? I can't seem to find them. I would like to get some off of my phone, but afraid to delete them.

Can anyone help with this oh so basic of questions?

If you have a mac, they go into iPhoto natively...

On a PC, as far as I understand, they do not auto-sync, you have to manually move them by going under "My Computer" and looking at the iPhone tab, where all the photos and videos will be listed and accessible.

That's how I seem to access them now. So I could basically cut and then paste them onto my network storage or whatever? That way they saved and at the same time removed from my phone?
