Idk. I like the width of the phone I think it's good. A little bigger like half an inch wouldn't matter to me I think it'd make the keyboard easier to type on if anything. I was hoping this iPhone would get rid of that empty space on both top and bottom of the phone, maybe make the home button more flush. Oh well lol.

I know the fanboys will say to buy an Android product if you want a wider phone but that's not what I prefer. It will probably take another 4 years to get it but does anyone else want a WIDER phone- not just longer?

Yea i would prefer it to be slightly wider, doesn't have to be much. i think it will make its appearance look better
I haven't owned an Apple product before but will considering the Iphone 5 once all the confirmed details are announced.Thanked by:offdahglass (09-05-2012)

Don't really care...the current size is perfect as is.

Wider? At times, I do, but I'm content with the current size. Still, it'll be interesting to see the new screen size and how well it displays things.

Just turn your iphone sideways. Now you got wider.
No need to thank me.Thanked by:nzrocketman (09-05-2012), PhxBlue (09-07-2012)

I think it should be the size of the Nexus S 4G. That's a very comfortable size for me.

Too big. I have small hands though.

I would hold judgement until you get it in your hands. I'm willing to bet minds will be changed.

Exactly what I want...right now the 5 looks too narrow at that length for me.

I'd prefer wider. The new dimensions just don't seem right to me. Didn't someone else already try the the chocolate bar dimensions before?

I want the iPhone 5 to be the size of the HTC Rezound. I never owned that phone but played with a ton when I would go into the Verizon stores and it just felt perfect in my hands. I will more then likely get the new iPhone anyway because I want 4G on my iPhone. I hate switching to my GNex to get 4G!

The screen is rumored to be 1136 x 640... 1136 x 639 is exactly 16:9.
It works for me. iPhone 5 (Black.32GB.AT&T) iPad Mini (Black.32GB.WiFi) iPad (3Gen.Black.64GB.AT&T) MacBook Pro (15" 2012.Retina Display.i7) iMac (21.5" 2011.i5) AppleTV (3Gen) - 09-05-2012, 07:30 PM

It's kind of bittersweet, while I was hoping for a 4" screen, I wanted it to keep the 3:2 aspect ratio, whenever I've wished for more screen space it's always been in width, not height. The statusbar could benefit from a little more width, so could the notification center, along with virtually every iPhone app. Just increasing the screen height will benefit us how exactly? Another row of static icons? I have never watched a movie on my phone and I doubt I ever will. That new Nokia phone makes the iPhone look horrible dated, where is the innovation?

Seriously iphones have had the same size screen for 5 years and now Apple bringing out a stretched screen that looks out of proportion. What have you been doing for the past 2 years Apple, I expected so much more from Apple there just is no wow factor anymore.
