bluetooth headset is discoverable to iphone 4s but it is applicable for calls only i need to listen music as well.

Welcome to iMore! Has it worked before? Does it say it's only for calls? Try a hard reset and try again!
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.
