How to turn off my phone 4s when the power button is not working?

It is an iPhone 4s and i need to turn it off to set up my new iPhone 6s. The power button will not depress. I have assistive touch on my screen, but isn't that just a screen lock?

Welcome to iMore! Here you go:
1. Activate AssistiveTouch in Settings > General > Accessbility > AssistiveTouch
2. Tap the AssistiveTouch button on the screen
3. Tap Device
4. Press and hold on Lock Screen until the slider appears to turn off your device

And scroll down to the bottom in Accessibility and tap on Accessibility shortcut. Then tap Assistive Touch. Then you can triple tap the home button to dismiss the Assistive Touch button and bring it back.
It's a pain to keep on the screen.
