Undesired dock action

For as long as I can remember, when I am playing any music (music/iPod app, sirius|xm, pandora, Dropbox) & dock the 4s onto an iHome (bought from an apple store), whatever is playing pauses. Why? Is that to assume that the user is charging the phone, & walking away, so the media is paused? In the case of an iHome, one would dock the phone to continue listening as well as charge the phone.

I'm on 6.1.2 & this issue has been present since before 6.0.

What do you think, or know, about it?

That is strange when I am playing music or a podcast on my iPhone and dock it in my iHome alarm clock or plug it into my iTrip care charger it continues to play. Maybe try resetting your phone?

That is strange. I didn't find much info researching the issue either. How long have you had it? Seems like it still works, but I can understand how annoying the issue can be. Possibly restoring the device without restoring from a backup would work...

My iHome does this occasionally but more if I have the vibrate or the mute on. When I dock my phone it stops the music briefly to buzz to tell me it's connected then it goes on playing. One aggravating thing my iHome does from time to time is just stop playing in the middle of a song. I have to hit the play on the remote to get it to start again. The music player shows its stopped too so I don't know what gives there. No text message or anything interrupted it. It just stopped.

Maybe my house is haunted and the ghosts that live there don't like Enya and The Piano Guys.
