My daughter has over $300 worth of music obtained from itunes. Her original computer got a virus where her itunes account was. She now has a new computer but when she logged into itunes and authorized the new computer, her music, etc was not there. She is afraid to sync for fear that she will loose all her music. Anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Either way, all purchased music can be redownloaded from the cloud in the iTunes app if lost.

When she logs into iTunes on the same AppleID that was used to buy the tunes, as was noted above, all purchases made in iTunes can be downloaded on authorized devices...
