correct spelling

how can I correct a letter in a word that I'm typing. without starting all over. I can't fix it in the right spot. to correct it

Can you not press & hold the cursor and then drag it to where you want to make the correction?

Just press on the screen where you want to edit until a magnifying glass appears. Keep pressing and move the cursor to where the error is and release. You can now fix the error.

Also correct means what I was quoting to the response given above my comment given by Phessler. I suppose I should have made that a bit clearer.
