Hi Guys,

Apologies if I didnt dig deep enough to find a similar thread!

I'm passing on my 4S to someone in the family after wiping it.

Scenario :

• Person currently uses a jail broken 3G.
• Does not want to lose TXT/Whatsapp messenger data etc.
• From my experience of restoring a 4S to a 4S - I regained all txt, emails etc, basically its the same phone.

Will this go smoothly? I could take the trouble and find out myself but it's going to be a pain to convince the person to let me do so.

I think that the data will switch over easy enough because it's only an app. And app data seemingly should switch with all
Other apple information....
However you should backup the entire what's app folder using IFunbox that way if it doesnt transfer you will still have the data saved that you can move certain pieces of to the new app on the 4s

If you're asking if you can restore data from a jailbroken iP3 to an iP4S -- yes you can
