Phone got wet and LED won't turn off

Hey all,
My phone got wet even though I had a Lifeproof case on it. Initially It wouldn't turn on or off I just saw a light bluish screen with a dark strip on it and the LED stayed illuminated overnight. Well it spent the night in a bag of uncooked white rice in an effort to draw the moisture out of it. This morning it is working but the screen colors are a bit faded and screen seems to be a bit twitchy. The LED is still illuminated and won't shut off. I've tried manually shutting off the flash in the camera app and turning on and off the flashlight app to try and trigger the LED to turn off but to no avail.
Any idea how I could get this LED to turn off? I do have insurance and can make a claim and get a new one but it comes with the $200 deductible so I am trying to see if I can resuscitate this one. Any other thoughts?

Do the insurance. The damage is done.

200 deductible? Apple would replace it for 199, no insurance needed.

Agreed, I would never trust it.

They will if you go into a apple store and tell them what happened. They are usually exceptional when it comes to customer service.
