Emailing from a link in a signature

Hello all

Sorry for the constant newbie posts

How on earth do I send an email to a person from clicking on the address in an email body?

I ended up having to copy and paste the emails into the TO field today. But no way this is how it is meant to be done

Example. An email I received was simply

"I don't. Know the answer but Tom will. Tom@domainname.com"
I would expect to just click that email address and it launch a new email with that address in the too field but every attempt failed.

What am I doing wrong?

Not sure why you're having a problem. If I get an email address in an email, clicking it does open a reply with the address filled in. I just tested it to be sure.

I've just tried again today, and it is working
EXCEPT for emails generated via the contact us link on the website, I can hotlink them in outlook, and BlackBerry, but not in iOS.
helpdesk ticket here I come
