Realtime sms backup

Has anyone found a program that will automaticly backup sms over the air? My searches only find a pc program to do it, which won't work for me. I'm about to upgrade from an Android phone where this is common. It needs to run in the background or at scheduled times on the phone. Thanks for any help.
