I got a weird symbol

I got a weird symbol in the coner of my screen that I can't remove need help.
Its a lock with a circle around it but I think it somehow locked my screen from going from portrait
to landscape ? and ideas? Please help.

Double click on the home button and then swipe the bottom to the right until you see the music control buttons. At the far left of that row of icons, you will see the circle arrow with a lock inside. Tap that icon and the screen rotation lock feature will disengage.

While we're on the subject: I LOVE how easy it is to access that orientation lock. I keep it locked most of the time.

I don't mess with it. Most of the time, I'm in portrait mode unless I'm reading something on the web or a game defaults to landscape mode. Therefore, leaving the feature as-is is not a convenience to me at all.
