No SIM Installed Error Message iOS5.1 HELP?!!

About an hour ago my iPhone 4s displayed the error message No SIM installed and in the menu bar it says no SIM. I've tried turning it on and off multiple times, re inserting the micro SIM but it doesn't work.
What's the best way to get this resolved?!

I'm already on ios5.1 by the way.

if im correct a quick fix to at least get you working is remove the sim entirely. i may be wrong but that should get you back up and running.

I can use the iPhone fine. As in anything that doesn't rely on carrier signal. All the wifi and stuff works fine. I'll turn it off all night and see what happens in the morning. A damn pain though!

its a hardware issue. i just had apple replace my phone because of this. there are many threads and sites regarding it all over the internet, most of which give incorrect or temporary fixes. switching airplane mode on and off usually brings it back. but it will happen again and again. the only way to fix it for me was to bring it to apple.
