[Q] Find My iPhone app

Hi guys. Something I really don't get it is this.

In settings, we can set on and off. Does this on and off works without the app?

If it would need the app, turn it on without having the app is pretty useless huh?

What do you think? I think I am thinking too much

The app is only used to search for a lost device. You would run the app on your phone looking for someone else's iPhone, not yours. The website serves the same purpose.

The setting switch must be on for your device to be trackable.
