Ok, I know I am going to ask a dumb question and don't know if this has been asked before. I have the 4s 16. My storage is 5.0gb and I have available 43.8gb.
Why is that and how can I clean up my storage?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure I'm getting this. You have a 16GB i4S, and have 5.0 GB storage? And 43 Gb available? My 16GB 4S had about 13.8 usable GBs of storage from the factory, the remainder was used up running the OS. With 800 songs, 30 apps and 1700 photos, I now have 2.5GB left. Where are you getting the 5.0 and 43.8 GB from?

I am looking at Total Storage on the general settings under iCloud. This is my main storage: 13.0 GB available and 630 MB used.

icloud is a different thing then your phone storage.. and also unless you paid for more storage you only have 5 gb of storage for free.

For the iphone's storage you need to go to settings-general-about.

We're happy to help but the info you're providing is confusing and contradicting. First you say . . .

. . . I have the 4s 16. My storage is 5.0gb and I have available 43.8gb.
Why is that and how can I clean up my storage?
Thanks in advance!

My first thought is that there is a typo - how can you have a 16gb phone and have 43.8gb available? Then you clarify and state that you are looking at iCloud Storage . . .

I am looking at Total Storage on the general settings under iCloud. This is my main storage: 13.0 GB available and 630 MB used.

This means that you have 13GB of Total Storage available in iCloud and you are only using 630mb. You have a lot of room on iCloud - no need to "clean up".
