Siri issue or phone problem??

My son and I both have the 4s. His Siri has worked on and off for a couple of days while mine has been fine. We can be in the same room and mine works perfectly and his doesn't. Is this a Siri thing or is something wrong with his phone? Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a phone issue, but first I'd try restoring and using iCloud to retrieve the backup and see of it still exists and if so I'd make a genius bar appt
