Can I do this???

I want to be able to lock the touch screen on the iphone 4s. For example, I start a movie and hand the phone over to my 2 year old, can I make it so that he can't "push" any controls and stop, fast forward or other function?

yes there is....there used to be a way to put a password on there too

So you're saying you want to start a movie and hand it over to him, but he can't modify controls during the movie? If so, no that's not possible.

Save yourself some trouble... buy him an iPod touch.

You won't have to worry about him messing anything up on your phone. Then he will eventually learn to play, pause, skip forward.

My 5 year- old niece can completely work my iPhone. She could previously work my BB. Kids are so technically intuitive and saavy these days. In some ways they can be more trusted with technology, and in some ways they can't.

You can put a regular password on the phone in settings but allowing a kid to watch a movie without control of the phone is not happening

Settings> general> password lock
