I have a IPOD touch and will be getting a 4S this coming weekend when they are in stock again....
I won't have that many songs, perhaps 200 or so, no TV or movies.
Currently I have about 40 apps but that might get to 80 or so over time maybe even 100....
I will be using ReaddleDocs to store docs. Perhaps 50 docs....typical size 30K
Would a 16 gb be enough or should I go for 32. Like I said not much mustic but docs and apps.

Bigger is always better. You never know you might end up adding more music or adding a couple videos or taking videos and plenty of pictures. Not to mention that after software and everything you have about 13.7 or something like that that you can use, not the full 16gb. I have the 16gb iPhone 4 and I still have plenty of room on it but I still wish that I would of got the 32 just so that I didn't feel so restricted.

I personally think that you will be fine with a 16gb but a 32 has better resale value if you want to sell it later on down the road.

I'm using about 15 right now, but I bought a 64, because. Well, it's the best price per gig and I don't want to be restricted later. So I suggest a 32 for you.

i considered a 16 but will be getting the 32 just to have some extra room for sure... since I cant add a micro sd card like my BB, i think it would be prudent to go 32.. just to be on the safe side.

I had a 32GB 4...i considered getting a 16GB 4S because i never used all the storage on my 4, but then i went ahead and bough the 32GB 4S anyways. Looking at the used storage right now...im at 18GB, lol, and thats with probably 500-600 songs that i will never listen to in my life, dozens of apps i'll never open again, and a weekend full of football videos recorded that i haven't moved off the phone.

I personally don't need 32GB, but i got it anyways...

I choose 64gb, but I'm only using 1.1gb. Kind of stupid/crazy of me, but I had the cash, so I spent it.

Unless you're on a budget, get the highest you are willing to afford.

I will be getting the 16GB, dont have much music and apps are minimal. I have iPhoto automatically import everything from photostream so I can delete from the phone to save space. Videos I will import manually as needed.

It also costs a hundred more up front. Don't see the point of saying it might sell for a few more dollars.

I got the 32 gb. Considered the 16gb but I thought its better to stay safe than sorry and I really don't want to constantly be worrying about memory being full etc.

You should be good with a 16G. I have over 2000 songs (I didn't put them all on) but I find that I have lots of room with the 16G. Personal preference, though. Your apps and docs could add up.
