Default Proximity sensor fixed on the 4S?

Hello all you IPhone 4S owners! I was wondering if the proximity sensor issue has been resolved on the iPhone 4S? I was not going to upgrade.. But if this has been fixed I probably will.

Thanks for any feed back you can provide!

They did make some internal changes to the sensor, so it should be better.

The original IPhone 4 proximity sensor has sensitivity issues so that the screen will suddenly come on during a call causing you to hit buttons with you cheek.

Apple moved the location of the proximity sensor on the iphone 4 from where it was on the 3g and 3gs......it caused screens to "light up" during calls if the phone wasn't held a certain way....typically if you held your black iphone on your shoulder with your ear the screen would enable. Apple made the issue slightly better via a software update and later the proximity senor "moved" when they released the white iphone 4.

On the 4s the proximity sensors are both in the same place for both the black and white models.....

The proximity sensor is definitely resolved on the 4S, case closed!

Good to hear. I must have been holding the phone in a way in which it worked, I didn't have any issues.

Seems to be working fine, even if I "hold the phone wrong". ;-)
