What Size iPhone 4s At&t
So I am/was a HEAVY blackberry user and I will be moving to the 4s in November.
When I look at the options I am thinking a 16gb is enough space and I am curious why do some people need 64gb?
Do you really use that much space?
For instance I have a 16gb card in my Blackberry 9700 and I am only using 1/3 of it.
Just wanted to get your opinions as to why one may need so much space. - 10-16-2011, 05:28 PM #2
Some people have a large music library on their phones and lots of videos. You can fill up 64GB quick doing that. The majority of people can get away with 16gb though.

Like E_Brown said, honestly it depends on your music library..
I have 0 songs on my iPhone, and I have never been a song downloading person.. I stream everything now adays since there are so many great options... Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, etc..
I really have no reason to have any songs on my iPhone anymore due to those things so the 16gig is perfect for me - 10-16-2011, 05:37 PM #4
TiPb did a really nice article on this topic a few days ago. This link might give you an idea of how much memory you might need based on your usage. http://www.tipb.com/2011/10/07/16gb-...e-4s-capacity/

16 for the average user
32 for those who want to have movies and lots of apps 64 is totally useless unless you sync 30+ 2-3 hour movies - 10-16-2011, 06:41 PM #6

I choose the 64GB because the store only had that and one 16GB 4S left in the afternoon on Friday. I knew the 16GB wouldn't be enough memory with all the videos that I take of my kids sporting and school events.

i had a 32gb iphone before but later when i bought a 16gb i4 i always struggled keeping enough open space, taking off and adding movies or music depending on the trip etc, this time i went back to a 32gb and it fits just right..movies and 2 seasons of the office and 1000 songs and apps etc will keep me comfortable in the space dep..64 is a nice option but i really wouldnt keep that much..16 gb plus the 5gb of icloud will do u fine

i had a 32GB iPad, and 32GB iPod Touch 4 with minimal freespace left. after upgrading to iOS5, i had to reinstall EVERYTHING. ...but i didn't. it made me realize most of what i had was just a waste of space. i had alot of "maybe i might use it one day" apps that were just taking up space.
honestly 16GB is fine, especially with icloud now.
but i still went with a 32GB iPhone 4S because i am heavy in videography. i recorded a 13 minute dance battle last night, and it took up 2.2 GB of space. :X - 10-16-2011, 08:51 PM #10
64 isnt useless I have a 32gb that only has 2 gb free with mostly just music so I got a 64gb so i wouldnt run out of room
I answer questions to the best of my knowledge if im wrong please correct me - 10-16-2011, 11:09 PM #11
Like the others have said, if you have lots of movies, or plan on taking HD videos 16 or 32 would be fine. I found I keep more on the phone than you would think. Wife has a 16gb and only keeps one movie on it. She doesn't have much room left.
