There will be in store launch and everyone is saying they will have plenty of stock in stores.

Like every iPhone release...if you want to "guarantee" yourself an iPhone without a pre-order, you better get there EARLY. Break out the camping chairs and red bull...

Or if you are lucky and know someone at the stores, sometimes they can hold one for you.

It's spread out a lot this year. Apple is always crazy. Sprint should be packed. Others shouldn't be too bad.

Verizon will probably be the easiest store to walk into on launch day, considering they just got the iPhone 4 back in February.

There absolutely will be an in store release. This year however, they don't have any sort of a "reserve" system. All stock is first come first served. Get there early (I'm talking the night before early) and you'll stand a good chance. At this point ordering online only gets you a phone in "1-2 weeks", so if you want it on launch day definitely go to Apple.

As everybody said ... get there early if you want to get one on launch day. Otherwise you will probably be more in the 2-4 week range and have to wait.

The iPhone 4S, is going to release in stores and online on the 14th. Well I think online they might still be sold out. But they have many stock in store.

a buddy of mine works at VZ.. he said they will tons because there have been very few walk in pre-orders.

I'm not elegible for an upgrade til Nov 25th, I'd really wish i could be at the Apple store this friday... it's always been kind of fun whenever I get an iphone on launch day..
