Probably real. 64 GB iPhone and a 128 GB iPod Touch seem very likely. Wonder if the subsidized cost of the 64GB beast will be 399? Seems the pattern.

LOL no. Apple is not going to increase the price.

Capacity increase at Apple means the price points stay the same, and one capacity option gets the boot. Probably the 32GB capacity will no longer exist, like how the iPod touch line has been. 8 -> 16 -> 64

Depends, if they still offer 16 at the same price it would make sense to bump each increase by $100 ... I think it would be reasonable to offer a 64 gig iPhone for $399 if the 32 gig is $299 and the 16 gig is $199.

Idk how many would want to pay 400 on contract for a phone though. I am sure some will buy but not as many as if they priced it at $299.

Lot's of people would buy it, it's a premium model ... How many 64 Gig phones are on the market today? Granted I think ideally it would be awesome if the $199 model had 32 Gigs and the $299 had 64 Gigs, but I don't see that happening. Believe me, I would love to be wrong on this.

I am just fine with my 16gb model. I stream most media, so there is not much stored on my device. While I can see it being nice if you take a lot of video, but I upload those, then delete them off my phone too.

But they also never had a 64gb model.

Yes, and before the 3GS, they never had a 32GB model.. Hello...

Apple commonly increases capacity. What happens is, the highest capacity replaces the former highest at the SAME price point, and the one of the lower capacities is eliminated. This is almost ALWAYS how it happens with Apple. To suggest anything else is just ignorant. There will be no $399 iPhone. Although I have no doubt people would pay that anyway.

I would expect the older less expensive model to be 8GB with 16/32/64GB for the newer model. I hope we get a 64GGB version.

since they didnt have a 32 gb model then price did increase. It didnt stay the same as the 16 gb so how can you say they didnt increase the price when it was 100 more on and off contract. I guess that isnt changing the price.

Black 64 GB iphone 5 would thrill me to death.

Which actually would suck as i'd be dead and unable to enjoy it. But i'd be happy in heaven. oh and i'd be willing to pay more for the extra storage.

I agree, it would be awesome. I also agree that it's not likely to happen that way.

Offering a 64GB iPhone would be the proper way to allow the iPod Classic to go the way of the dinosaurs. iCloud is no replacement to having significant on-board storage and with 1080p video capture and an 8MP camera (which will sync to iCloud) you still want space for movies and music and of course apps.
