Micro or Macro SIM for the iPhone 5?

As October comes closer I will need to decide whether to sell my iPhone 4 or my 3GS. I am basing my decision on the type of SIM that the iPhone 5 will have. If the iPhone 5 continues to use the Micro SIM that is found in the iPhone 4 and the GSM iPad's, then I will just keep my iPhone 4 as my backup phone and sell my 3GS.


What do you guys think? Micro or Macro SIM for the iPhone 5? I know there isn't a lot lot of info yet, but I thought I would ask just in case I missed it somewhere.

Micro... or, if you wanna believe the rumor(s)... sim-less.

Don't think they will overhaul the whole sim again after just one model. If anything they will keep the micro sim and in future release if networks are ready then go simless.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys. I think I'll sell my 3GS now and continue enjoying my iPhone 4 until the iPhone 5 is released. I can always sell it later if the rumors come true and the 5 really does go sim free...

It's biomechanical. You set it up, it scans your skin and imprints it in its memory. After that, no one else can use it.

Or a micro-sim.

This sounds a little bit like the fingerprint scanner unlock system that my Motorola Atrix had. I hated that...

It looks Apple will not take this change with an all new device. May be they will make these changes in later upgrades of iphone 5.

I think we'll see Micro again. I don't think biometrics are so friendly yet...
