gmail/contact management

i am currently using gmail to manage my contacts via ota syncing. when the new ios 5 comes out will get a new mobile me account and have the same features? Also, will I have to re-enter all of my contacts into mobile me and then discard my google account? Thanks in advance!

We won't know until someone else on here reports back who uses this feature with iOS 5.0 beta 1 installed.

you should be able to merge your gmail contacts into mobile me. set up your gmail first, then toyr mobile me, you should get asked if you want to merge contacts
