I'd buy it in a minute.

I need Flash for a full web experience. Period

As it is I'll be buying Android.

Previously the lack of flash was much more noticable and annoying but lately it seems HTML5 is really starting to take over and I rarely hit Flash sites.

That's true, but I still want Flash. I'm tired of getting frozen out of Flash sites on my mobile.

Its Flash or the highway.

Beep beep.

So you know it doesn't and won't have flash then why make a thread about it? There are a few browsers that can use flash on iPhone

Congrats man. You are aware of what you want and the iPhone doesn't have it. No need to make a thread. Go buy an android and be happy. No one has your head at gunpoint telling you to buy an iPhone.

To each their own.

But, I don't go on to Android forums and say things like:
"If they just had some actual internal storage. Or a better app market (quality). Or real video capabilities. Or an elegant UI."

I really could go on and on for hours about why Android phones don't work for me as my main device.

Don't worry about it. You can still watch porn on the web without Flash. Just because some of the sites are flash based doesn't mean all of them are. No one who insists on Flash on a device will publicly admit that's what they want it for but that's ok. Porn can still be found without Flash. LOL!!!!!!!

I use to tout Flash on my EVO until the Gingerbread upgrade and the bugs, lag, and memory leak hit. Don't be too shocked if your Android gives you random white screen reboots, lag, and you find your on board storage is getting inexplicably eaten up, somehow. You want Android? Get it. There's a Smartphone Expert site for that. It's called Android Central. Everything you need is over there. The rest of us here are just going to enjoy our iPhones without Flash, thanks. I spent an entire day yesterday with an Apple Store full of men, women, and employees, none of whom are missing Flash. I'm not either.

I HATE flash. Hate it. On the computer it already annoys the ever loving sh!t out of me, so on my phone? HELL NO. And that's from someone who works on building flash stuff for sites, and has for years. I HATE IT.

If it needed flash, don't you thing the premier communications technology corporation in the world would have put flash on it? I'm pretty sure Apple has the technology to do so if they deemed it necessary.

You know, what's interesting is that the newest version of the Firefox Browser on the desktop doesn't like Flash much. The Android version doesn't utilize Flash at all. There is probably a good reason for that.

When I was waiting for my Droid to get Flash, it was a big deal. It was one of those "big" features that was going to make things really stand out. The actuality of it was far different. It REALLY bogged down the phone and made the browser all but useless. I just figured the Droid wasn't really the right phone for it, and the processor wasn't really enough to run Flash correctly.

Eventually, I got the Droid X. The promise of a 1ghz processor providing some heavy lifting seemed to be the key piece. It didn't make much of a difference. Flash on a phone just flat out sucks. The sites designed with Flash just aren't designed with a phone browser in mind. It's incredibly laggy, really beats on the hardware, and works maybe half the time. If flash is the only thing keeping you from hopping on an iPhone, you may be disappointed in the implementation of it elsewhere. I'm not saying Android is a bad choice in general and that you wouldn't be happy with any of the fine options that are currently out, just don't hinge your decision on the ability to use flash.

If you want a phone that just works, that you don't have to root, rom, hard reset, or tinker with in any way just to get it to work right, Android won't make you happy unless you get a Nexus. The Nexus are the only Android phones that avoid the problems inherent in other OEM Android phones because they are designed to run a stock implementation of Android on good hardware without the buggy UI overlays that are created by most Android OEM's. There was a time when I thought Flash made a difference. As others have shown here, it really doesn't.

Wouldn't it be funny if Flash was the cause of the memory leak in Gingerbread? LOL!!!

Correct on all counts. I remember the big deal made about Flash coming to Android. More of a big deal than what it turned out to be. I remember disabling it a few hours into the first day that it pushed to my phone.

Flash works fine on my new Galaxy S II. I can even watch Flash player videos, very smooth. All Flash needs is a dual core processor :) It is a pig, but I am no longer missing part of the web.

Some day Apple may change its mind and include it. It was worth it for me to note why I was not getting the iPhone. Maybe some market researcher might see this.

It does not seem to be hurting sales. iPhone sales are going gangbusters. Its a great phone and I wish it well.

very true. i've been using iOS since ipod touch 1. flash wasn't that big of a problem back then. and a few years later, its even less of a problem. skyfire has your back on watching flash videos...and most sites have optimized their pages for the ipad or mobile devices.

even when i'm on a computer, realistically, the only sites i visit [on the rare occasion that i do] that use flash are artist websites....and music myspaces.
