Iphone 4 renew....

I have an iPhone 4 that had the battery swell and pop the back. I visually looked over everything else and it seems fine. I lost the 2 screws that hold the back on...but.....that's ok. What I am wondering, since its been AGES since this has been fired up, What is the latest IOS that would work smoothly on this so I can re initialize it for my Mother in law so we can face time when on vacation. I think everything else is fine after I pop a new battery in it.

iPhone 4 is supported up to iOS 7.1.2. If you connect the iPhone to iTunes it should detect it and update to that version.

She shouldn't have any issues but there may be some apps that require a newer version of iOS and won't work with the iPhone 4. Good luck!

As long as she can use email, facetime and phone....I would think that's all she would use.

Getting the sim error...>Going to her service provider today to try another sim to see if it works. everything else works great...added the battery, and new screws, the phone is like new!
