How do I download the videos from my iPhone4 onto this laptop?

I have several videos in my iPhone4 and I need to download them out of my phone to this laptop. It's an HP laptop with Windows 8 on it..I tried for 2 hours the other day and I just dont know what I'm doing..Please help

my friend used a "Photo Transfer App" on Windows 8 to help him transfer the pictures and videos from his iPhone to his laptop.

For Windows users, you can use AutoPlay to import photo videos from iPhone to laptop.
1. Connect your iPhone to computer, and the AutoPlay will pop up automatically.
. Click on Import pictures and videos to download iPhone photo videos to computer.
