Reboot the phone or close the app and remove it from the list of recently used apps, and then try again.

Welcome to iMore! There's no such thing as "group mode". Can you post a screen shot? Many times a simple reset fixes things as well. Reset your device by holding the power button and home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo.
