Why does my iPod 4 ALWAYS get an email before my iPhone 4?

I have both my iPod 4th and iPhone set up to receive emails from the same mailboxes, using the same settings. No matter which wifi network Im on, the iPod always gets the notification a second before my iPhone does. Sometimes, the iPad and iPod both beep at the exact same time, its always the phone thats a second delay. Anyone else notice this or know why?

Sting7k is right. My iPad (Wi-Fi Only version) almost always notifies me of new mail before my iPhone does. Of course, it's only by 2 to 3 seconds.

Network problem.... Ipad must be having a strong network coverage than iphone...

Mine is the opposite. I usually get emails on my iPhone before I get it on my iPad.

It's just like my iPad in most instances will get iMessages a second or two before my iPhone. Not sure why but its only a couple seconds at most. I have noticed the same thing with my email.

it doesnt matter. i was just curious since it was always a constant, even with all devices on wifi, it just seemed odd. i could care less about it really.

What email provider? I notice a delay sometimes when using wifi only on ipod and my Yahoo mail will be delayed over ATT to my iphone.

lucky for you guys, coz me... i get the notification through my iPod... i'm not getting alerts from iPhone (of course alert notification is on).
