Switch jailbreak iPhone 4 same carrier

I have two iPhone 4 same carrier both jailbroken. One is black the other is white. Can I switch the phone numbers between black and white phones without losing the jailbreaks. If so can and how do I backup and restore my apps once the change is complete?

Why would changing a phone number lose the jailbreak? Wouldn't this change be on the carrier's end? I'd suggest calling your carrier and asking what must be done to the phone when changing phone numbers.

If they are GSM phones (AT&T) then you should be able to just swap the SIM cards. Then just change the Apple IDs and reload your apps. (Jailbreak apps you'll need to delete/reload in Cydia.)
