Keeping my iPhone 4 fast

I recently set my iPhone 4 up as new and restored some apps through iExplorer. (I didn't restore my camera roll photos and videos this time)

A long time knowing question I'd have has been how do I keep my iPhone's performance as though it's set up as new all the time? Does this cydia app iCleaner cure my problem?

Why does the iPhone end up bogging down in no time?

Reset the cache in apps, games and your browser. Also, reboot your phone periodically.

Some app do not allow for this whereas others do. You can clear the cache either in the settings menu inside the app or, if available, in the iPhone's settings. As for iCleaner, I've never used it.

Recently had a thread of someone having 8.8gb of other data. Icleaner Took it down to 1.7 so it's at least worth something.
