why did my phone go crazy..?

so this morning im on my iphone 4 and i start getting text and then bam it shuts down and doesnt start back up. so now my phone wont do anything. is there anyone else thats having anything like this happen?

I have never had that issue. I would take it into your service provider to see what they say.

I would try a hard reset (hold power button and home button held at the same time until you see the Apple logo).
