Aluminum back reception

I recently replaced my iPhone 4 back to aluminum, the change is nice, but my reception is now half of what it once was in all spots. Im down to two bars at home, in some places no 3g service. My question is i thought the whole antenna was set around the phone, is there anything i can do to boost my service?

i noticed the same thing when i replaced my broken back glass with the aluminum.I was dropping calls, service was terrible everywhere. I changed back to oem glass no more issues

They make some that look like metal but are plastic so it won't cause issues

Damn, been through a couple glass one which is why I opted for the aluminum, plus the feel and finish is awesome. Where can I see the glass "aluminum replicas"

I had similar problems. The biggest issue I had with the metal back was the added weight. It was uncomfortable to hold.
