Orange Vibrate Button

Just a random post but I was thinking last night as I was looking at my iPhone - I actually love that Apple chose orange as the color to paint the button signifying the phone is on vibrate. I think it really just adds something.
Just out of curiostiy, does anyone know or have any thoughts as to why they chose orange as opposed to red, or green or any other color really?

My best guess is bc the iPod lock toggle was orange on the older hardware. They may have been going for some some amount of continuity even tho the switch has a diff purpose.
