hello i jsut bought a chinese version iphone 4....if i restore it on my itunes here in america will it work for us carriers? like att etc?

Thanks but it doesnt answer my question about restoring it here with my itunes :/ if i restore it will it be like a regular iphone 4 from the US?? thanks for the reply!

No, restoring it via iTunes will not make it into a US iPhone 4. The only thing that will do is reset everything back to the factory default settings.

If it is an unlocked version, yes. A sim card from any GSM PROVIDER will work. Un less it was a
CDMA version built for verizon.

The link that I provided did say that it will work, however, restoring it in iTunes will not turn it into a US iPhone 4 like the OP was referring to.

There is no difference between an Chinese and an American iPhone. Just go in and change the language and keyboard to English. My wife's boss change her phone to Chinese all the time.

I live in Ohio and have an iphone 4. I have someone who wants to buy my iphone for her sister in China and wondered if it would work there. It is AT&T. Also, do the text titles on the apps remain in english, can they be changed to Chinese?
