Sent items HELP !!

I have one gmail account set up via exchange.

is there a way to set it up so when I send a email on my phone it goes into sent items on both the phone and my macbook ( mail app ).

The same for vise versa, if I send on the mac i want to see the sent item on my phone.

This seems like a simple request.

Am I missing something ?

do you have gmail set up in your main app on the mac? it will also show on the web based gmail

Can't be sure but this sounds like it might be more of an issue on the Mac side of things--certainly everything syncs that way for me using my iPhone and Gmail, so the question is why aren't things getting pulled down to your Mac mail app.

setup gmail as imap or exchange.. not pop3.
