Non SMS/MMS/PNS alerts

How will apple handle non SMS/MMS/PNS alerts ?

The reason why I ask this is because I tapped a link from twitter that took me to the iTunes store and before it does that i was asked to " open or cancel " the iTunes link.

Also what about calendar events ?

Are messages like those still going to be pop up or will it be dealt the same way SMS alerts will be ?

I just set a timer alert in the clock app and when time was up, I got the old blue popup box with the message "Timer Done" and an OK button ... and nothing in the notification area... either some things are going to remain the old way, or they haven't got to them yet in this point of the beta process... I guess time will tell...
