Charge/Sync Cable Replacement?

Is there any warranty on the charge/sync cable that's included with an iOS device?

One of my cables quit working the other day. The computer won't recognize any iOS device plugged in using that cable. Furthermore, it somehow disables all other USB ports (so my keyboard and mouse quit working for the time being) until you unplug it and restart the computer. Tried it on the another computer with the same result.

So would I be able to get another one from Apple, or will I have to spend some $ and buy a replacement myself?

Thanks in advance.

I guess it would depend on how long you've had the device.

After buying my iPhone 4 from AT&T the charger would not work at all, however the sync cable worked just fine, and soon afterwards a friend gave me his old iHome.

I had to call in a problem with the phone after having it a few days, and while I had Apple on the phone I asked about the charger I received. They sent me one free of charge. (I was billed $20 for the cost of the wall plug but it was refunded when they received my nonworking one back.)

You can find them online, and I do believe they are for sale in TiPb's store.
