Hey Everyone,

This is my first post here coming from the AndroidCentral forum, I finally broke down and traded my Android (Thunderbolt mainly because of horrible battery life) for a new White 32gb iPhone 4. So far I am loving this phone and everything about it. Looking forward to getting to know the forum and hopefully being able to contribute.

Yes, I love the look of the white iPhone. I went to the Verizon store yesterday and they had the black and white side by side and to me the white just looks so much better. I know its all personal opinion, but I like white phones, I had the white Fascinate for a while and loved the color.

I literally have no regrets on switching... my phone actually lasts more than 6 hours before I need to charge it :)

I was playing around with my phone all day yesterday, left for my girlfriends house around 1pm with 92% charge. After having it with me all day, and playing a couple games for like 45-60 minutes (RageHD, TinyWings, and Cut the Rope) along with a few texts here and there as well as browsing the web and other minor stuff with apps... basically showing my girlfriend the phone I was at 50%! O yea, bluetooth and wifi was on the entire time too. If that was my Thunderbolt, I would have been at 30% if not less.

Screen is just wow too. I had the Samsung Fascinate for a while and my girlfriend has it too, and they have nice Super AMOLED screens, but the iPhone screen is GORGEOUS!

Welcome!! I absolutely love mine too. Battery life is great!! Streamed slacker radio while I was driving to work today for about 3 hours total time, did email all day, few texts, some minor surfing. Overall I hit the 20% battery warning this afternoon with just over 9 hrs of standby time and 6.5 hours of use. And that was on verizon 3G and the extended verizon network for most of today. My old phone (cough...bberry...cough) would have been blinking low battery by lunchtime.

I must say I had my reservations about the iphone coming from Android. I won't get into which devices are best but the Iphone has grown on me. I am trying to deal with the smaller screen but the smoothness and functionality makes up for it. I too grabbed the White device after the earpiece on my black device stopped working. Its been about 30 days and I am real comfortable with the switch...

The one thing that I love about the iPhone after playing around with it for 2 days now is that it has everything! Androids have everything too, but one device doesn't have everything. Here is my example of past experience.

HTC Thunderbolt/Incredible: Good screen, good camera, minor intrusive software, god awful battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate: Amazing screen, good battery life (by Android standards), horrible update support, intrusive software.

Motorola Droid X: Good software (base Android experience), good hardware, looks weird (my opinion I guess), horrible picture quality.

All in all when you put the 3 together, you would have a great phone but honestly I thought I would never hear myself say this, the iPhone has it all. Great battery life, looks stunning (white or black), great screen quality, fast and efficient software, good camera quality, o yea and apps.. sorry as much as I loved the Android Marketplace, App Store just can't be beat.

I actually did the same exact thing. I got the Thunderbolt on launch day and was fascinated with the device for about 3 hours until it went dead. I held on to it for a month before finally breaking down and getting the white 32GB iPhone also. All I can say is whoa! This phone is amazing. I really regret not switching to an iPhone way back when.

I regret it too, but at the same time I don't. Why? Because if I did, I wouldn't have this sexy white one :p

Yesterday was the first day that I can give a full detail on how awesome this battery is. I charged it in the morning before I left for the gym around 9am. It was at 100% when I unplugged it. I turned it on airplane mode for the gym since I get no service or 1 bar so it drains no matter what phone, and that was for about an hour. After that I was doing heavy texting, moderate game playing and web surfing while having Bluetooth and WiFi on pretty much the entire time.

By 11:30 at night, my phone was still at 45%! No holy hell, I thought the battery was better, but not this good! I would have had to charge my TB probably around 4-5pm just to make it to 8pm without it dead.

Any phone compared to the TB is going to have amazing battery life... At the VZW store they are selling some sort of rapid charger with the phone as a "Promotion". First of all, the charger is still $20. Why wouldn't I just bring my regular wall charger to work with me? Secondly, it is a wireless phone for a reason! I shouldn't need to carry a charger with me everywhere I go to keep my phone charged...

This is exactly why Apple is waiting at least more generation before releasing LTE. Current chipsets sap battery like a porn star saps chrome off.
