3G stops working if I turn it off

So when I turn off 3G(to save power) and then turn it back on it will say 3G next to Verizon but it will say something like you don't have a cellular data plan. The only way that I found to fix it was by restating my phone. Any ideas why it does this?

AT&T will say the same thing sometimes. I "think" it just takes the phone and the Network a minute to talk to each other. It still works without Resetting the phone. At least it does with AT&T. I assume VZ would be the same.

It was a known issue on the VzW iPad 2, but not sure on the other devices. 4.3.2 is supposed to have fixed it. I am not a VzW iPhone or iPad customer so I cant tell you if the new version worked.

Yea, it just takes some time for it to connect
