I have a rather paranoid question.
I just bought a used Verizon iPhone from ebay. The wife bought one from Verizon on release day, and after playing with it, I had to get one.
Is it possible for the seller to have installed some program on the iPhone to track the phone, keystrokes, listen in, etc? Would "resetting" the phone remove such junk?
Really hoping the iPhone is immune to this sort of thing.
Thank you in advance.

If they jailbroke it, it's possible. Just do a restore to be safe. It'll wipe everything and reset everything to factory defaults.

I'd be a little leery of any used phone that I purchased that didn't come to me wiped. Like others have said, do your self a favor and restore in iTunes or under settings>reset>erase all content and settings.

What others said... hmm this is a useless post then.

I'll make it useful: restore from factory settings.

Wait... that's what others said. Darn it!
