Alert sounds while on a call

Ok so I have an IP4 that's jailbroken but whenever I'm on a call and a text/email comes through the ringtone that I have sounds off. When on vibrate mode the entire phone vibrates. On previous phones, whenever I was on a call a "Beep" sound would go off but not the actual ringtone. This isn't just limited to texts and emails. I have espn score center with the alerts for game times activated and the sports center sound played while I was on a phone call. The voice of the other person gets cut off so that the alert sound may play. Is there a way to change this? Thanks!!!!

My iPhone is jb also and I don't have this problem.

I would respiring winter board or do a restore via iTunes then re jailbreak.
