I recently received my aunt's old iPhone 3gs which has been restored to the factory settings and erased. I am already on at&t and had a smartphone (Nokia E71X) before i got this iPhone, so I already have a media plan. Do I have to update my at&t account to show that I have an iPhone? And will I have to pay anything extra even though I already have a media plan? Thank you to all who answer this!

You should call customer service and say u have an iPhone

plan and rate stays the same

Rvzz is right. Plus, doing so will enable you to access your Visual VoiceMail, a feature specific to iPhones which must be enabled by AT&T.
