good luck I dont think they said it was unbreakable I think what they said was that it was harder to break. 30 times harder than plastic or something like that. Maybe you will get lucky with it.

I hope they laugh you out of the store if you even attempt to get it switched under the unbreakable clause. Show me a link where they specifically state the glass is unbreakable in all circumstances.

yea you arent going to get it. not even worth a try honestly. no one else would get the phone replaced for something thats their fault like that, so why should you? sucks, but thats life.

The coverage Verizon offers is provided by Asurion. Verizon has been offering their services for years.

After seeing horror stories like this, I just ponied up the dough and bought coverage through Squaretrade. It was only $99, which isn't bad. For those who preordered, you only have a couple of days of eligibility because you can only get it within 30 days of your purchase.

These threads make me want to hug my cases and SquareTrade. Not that my Barely There case would help in that sort of drop. Ouch!

    Good luck!

+2 here. I'm generally very careful with my phone, but every once in a while, something happens.

You must be new to the site. I have warnings and points on my record and I'm proud of it. So yes, I am.

He has no insurance and his phone breaking was through no fault of Verizon or Apple. You have to realize it's people like the OP who drive up costs for everyone else.

$10.99 a month thru Verizons insurance carrier Asurion. Way too high IMHO.

    About the glass:

The glass is much HARDER than the previous version. The harder something is the more brittle it tends to be. What this means is that this glass (similar to synthetic sapphire) won't scratch nearly as easily, but will break more easily. That is how glass works. High-end watches use sapphire crystals and go decades without a scratch, but drop them off a table and there is a good chance they might shatter.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but I was just talking to a VZW rep and she mentioned you can take a device with a cracked glass to a local Apple store and they will replace it for about $100 or so.

    Hope this helps...
