ATT Sim Card

I live in Canada and have a factory unlocked iphone4. I am going to spend the next month in Florida escaping this cold weather.
After hours on the phone trying to obtain a micro sim card with a pay as you go plan from ATT I'm pretty sure I can't do that. What they tell me they will sell me is a pay as you go regular SIM, so my plan is to buy one from them and then cut it to a micro SIM size. I have ordered a "cut my sim" and it will be waiting for me when I get to Florida. Now the question.
When I purchase the SIM card am I buying a plug and play once it's cut to the micro SIM size? Are all their phones that support data GSM or do they support another technology?

Once you cut the sim card it'll work fine. As long as you cut it correctly. I did that
once when I had ATT. ATT phones support only GSM, yes.

They probably won't give you a micro SIM because they don't officially support the iPhone on a pay-as-you-go plan (Go phone, I believe it's called for AT&T).

Either way, though, it should work as stated above.
