battery recharge question

I read the battery thread and apple manual and??

do you let the iphone battery go completely dead for a full recharge or? reason I ask as Vz Rep said 2-3 times a month for a full maintenance cycle true or?

my phone is now at 10% and so a red line shows so want to know now as this will be its first full recharge since I bought it 3 days ago. thanks for any info on this

I stick to once a month, unless I just happen to drain the battery from a heavy usage day and I end up doing it more.

What I do is a full discharge where the phone turns off itself. Then plug it up and let it charge completely before removing it from the charger.
