Strange icon top right next to battery meter

It looks like a hangman thingy with capital letter N. Just noticed it and it's only when connected to Internet. Non 3G. I also jailbroken.

im kinda confused about backgrounder....using multi flow but just do not understand why we need backgrounder? and what are the best settings sorry to hijack the thread but any insight would be appreciated
