E-Mail Deletion Quandry

I have my Gmail account synced up through Exchange and all seems to be working well. But I've noticed that when I delete an e-mail now on my iPhone, it deletes from my Gmail on my PC as well.

Is there any way to make it so that when I delete an e-mail on my phone, it does NOT delete from my inbox elsewhere?

Not that I know of. If you use gmail IMAP then the delete button turns into an archive button, so at least that way it would be off your phone and archived in gmail (but still not in your inbox). Its a function of exchange (and imap) to sync your accounts across all platforms.

If you set up your Gmail account via exchange active sync, deleting an email on your phone archives it in your gmail account. You can view your archived messages by clicking on "All Mail" on the Gmail website.

The email isnt actually deleted, its just archived out of your inbox.
